With Play For Keeps starting to spread it’s proverbial wings around the University of Houston’s campus, we don’t only want our presence felt on our college campus. We want it felt within the real world as well. Our Community Outreach branch allows us to do just that by creating bonds and connections with the surrounding 3rd Ward community that we interact with everyday at school.

Heads Up Houston is a non-profit organization based in Alief, Houston. It’s main purpose is to give kids the opportunity to play youth sports that otherwise wouldn’t get the chance to. We learned about them through a collaboration Blaze was heading for us with Grind Houston. Which is also an organization that makes practice equipment, specifically for basketball techniques. After we learned about an event opportunity that included working with both Heads Up and Grind, we jumped on the opportunity to network with the both of them.

Not only does this give us a chance to work with kids and get them to know us, but it allows us to grow our contacts and brand recognition in the city of Houston. We are very excited to see where these two new partnerships take us.

Here’s to more wins and less sin.
