Los Angeles Clippers’ PG, Chris Paul.

First of all, what the hell happened here. I’m going to get around to the fact that Chris Paul, Dwyane Wade, and Carmelo Anthony didn’t make the cut (Not even as reserves mind you). Not to mention the fact that these players have upheld this league’s popularity for all these years…And yes I’m aware Chris Paul is still injured with a torn ligament in his thumb but he still should’ve been voted in as a reserve.

The first thing I want to mention about all of this hog-wash is fan voting. SQUASH ALL OF THAT. If current NBA players won’t even put LeBron James and Kevin Durant on there ballots, what makes you think fans will vote correctly? Sure, they pay the money for tickets and jersey sales that fuel the NBA, but this game shouldn’t be fiddled with. They already don’t play defense…

I like the way the MLB runs their all-star game, winner gets home field advantage in the World Series. I need Adam Silver to add some excitement and some edge to this game. You’re already losing interest in all other aspects of All-Star weekend. I already just stick to watching the Dunk Contest via Twitter, if something exciting happens, I’ll see it there in a short gif video. If not, I don’t want to waste my time.

Only the media and the league’s coaching staff should be allowed to vote. Meaning, the people that make a livelihood of covering the league (media) and the people who developed the players that are in the league itself (coaching staff). These people know who deserve these honors.

My Replacements

West Coast

  1. Chris Paul for Gordon Hayward.
  2. Karl Anthony-Towns for Demarcus Cousins.

East Coast

  1. Andre Drummond for Paul Millsap.
  1. Dwyane Wade for Isaiah Thomas.

Look man, all of these players are “deserving”. However, this game is more about entertainment rather than who deserved the spot. We all know how good Dwyane Wade is in All-Star game appearances and are you really trying to see Paul Millsap play over a scary Andre Drummond? I have no problem with the starters on either side. However, Paul George could’ve been in Jimmy Butler’s spot but we’re not going to get into that. Enjoy the game though, it should suck for sure. Adam Silver, do better my guy… Get creative. Peace.

Here’s to more wins and less sin…
